Art Nouveau spessartite garnet and diamond hair clip/scarf toggle in 18kt yellow gold. Centred with an estimated 0.90ct cushion shape mixed cut spessartite garnet in a claw setting, flanked by two round old cut diamonds in claw settings, to a figural design featuring elaborately chaised and carved motifs of a woman and a bearded man, each clasping the central stones and terminating to a solid base, hinged to the reverse and secured with a push latch and central spike to keep the jewel in place. Tested 18kt gold.
