Antique acrostic 'REGARD' ring in 15kt yellow gold

Antique acrostic 'REGARD' ring in 15kt yellow gold. Set across the finger with a cushion step cut ruby, octagonal emerald cut emerald, oval mixed cut garnet, oval mixed cut amethyst, cushion shape mixed cut rubelite and rose cut diamond all in cut down settings, to a graduating six stone design with stylised settings featuring curling wave motifs in relief and flanked by carved trumpeting shoulders which smooth to a matte shank. Hallmarked 15kt gold, Birmingham, 1865.
