White Gold Sapphire and Diamond Daisy Cluster Ring

A beautiful sapphire and diamond daisy cluster ring set in white gold. The ring centres on an oval-cut sapphire of an estimated 1.22ct, displaying a deep, saturated blue. The sapphire is held in a yellow gold bezel within the white gold setting, visible from the reverse of the ring through the open back. This open-backed construction allows light to pass through the sapphire and is typical of quality period jewellery where the goldsmith understood how to get the best from a coloured stone.

Surrounding the sapphire are ten old European cut diamonds in a scalloped daisy formation, each individually set within milgrain-edged bezels.
