Of By-pass design, claw-set with two old European-cut diamonds, with estimated respective weights of 1.00 carats, flanked by twelve old European-cut diamonds pavé-set in scrolled foliate design shoulders, with a combined approximate weight of 0.40 carats, tested platinum and 18 karat gold, ring size Q (sizeable).
The diamonds have been assessed by our in-house gemologists as approximately K/L colour, VS/SI clarity. Condition excellent, with a minor abrasion on a kite facet running parallel to the table of one of the principal diamonds.
Why we are obsessed:
Using two diamonds in a Toi et Moi ring symbolises shared eternal endurance and an equal matching of two souls. During the Edwardian period diamonds started to eclipse other gemstones in engagement rings and larger gems became more abundant and thus we see 'Toi et Moi' rings similar, but not always as fine as this beautiful example
