OLD EUROPEAN-CUT DIAMOND MARQUISE CLUSTER RING, CIRCA 1900

Rows of graduated pavé-set old European-cut diamonds in cluster formation radiating from a central diamond diamond, with a combined approximate weight of 0.45 carats, the navette-shaped plaque tapering from to a bifurcated band, tested 18 karat gold, finger size N½ (sizeable).

The diamonds have been assessed by our in-house gemologists as approximately K/L colour, VVS/VS clarity.

Why we are obsessed: 

In the later Victorian period following the discovery of the Kimberley mine and the advent of refined cutting skills, diamonds became the most popular gem stones and smaller high quality diamonds were often set navette style like this beautiful ring.
