Set to the centre with a claw-set old European-cut diamond, with an estimated weight of 1.09 carats, within a decorative openwork basket, the shoulders pavé-set with six old-cut diamonds, leading to a polished hoop, tested platinum, ring size H (sizeable).
The principle diamond has been assessed by our in-house gemmologists as approximately H/I colour, VS/SI clarity.
Why we are obsessed:
The Tiffany & Co. iconic six-prong solitaire setting was released in 1886, this was the first time the single diamond was set above the band to maximize light reflection. It followed the large-scale discovery of diamonds in South Africa which improved the availability of higher quality larger carat diamonds. It is becoming increasingly rare to find old European cut diamonds of this quality and carat weight in the original setting.
