18ct Gold and Platinum Diamond Solitaire Ring with Florentine Band

A substantial diamond solitaire ring in the Retro style, featuring a round brilliant cut diamond of approximately 2 carats, K colour, set in a four-claw platinum coronet mount. The stone is a good size with plenty of presence, its warm tint complementing the yellow gold of the band.

The shank is where this ring really shows its period character. The wide, flat band has a Florentine finish - that distinctive crosshatch texture achieved through engine turning that was enormously popular in the 1960s and 1970s.
