18ct Gold and Platinum Citrine and Diamond Cocktail Ring est 50ct
A spectacular cocktail ring set with a large emerald-cut citrine of approximately 50 carats in an 18ct yellow gold and platinum mount. The citrine displays a rich golden honey colour with excellent transparency and is held in place by six yellow gold claw prongs.
The shoulders are set in platinum or white metal, each featuring a triangular panel of small diamonds arranged in graduated rows with fine milgrain edging. This two-tone construction is typical of quality Retro period work, where the warmth of yellow gold was deliberately contrasted with white metal diamond accents for visual impact.
