Platinum Art Deco Diamond Bow Brooch

A French Art Deco diamond bow brooch in platinum, bearing the dog's head hallmark for platinum (900/1000). The design is quintessentially Deco: a central old mine cut diamond of approximately 1ct is bezel set within a geometric frame, flanked by two symmetrical fan-shaped panels that radiate outward in a stylised bow or butterfly form. The openwork panels are set throughout with old cut diamonds in milgrain-edged settings, with pierced geometric lines creating the characteristic Deco interplay of light, stone and negative space.
