A substantial bombé cocktail ring in 18kt gold set with an emerald-cut diamond at centre, claw-set, with a total diamond weight of 3.94ct. The domed head is pavé-set throughout with round brilliant cut diamonds, divided by raised yellow gold ribs that run across the bombé form in a crossover arrangement. The contrast between the white diamond pavé and the yellow gold ribbing gives the ring a strong sculptural quality.
The emerald-cut centre stone sits low within the dome, flanked by the pavé fields. The construction is heavy, weighing 11.00 grams, consistent with mid-to-late twentieth century cocktail jewellery where bombé forms and dense diamond pavé were favoured.
The ring shows a yellow gold interior shank with white gold to the head and setting. Overall presence is bold and three-dimensional.
