Antique memorial brooch with hair art and black enamel in yellow gold. An oval brooch centred with plaited human hair art framed by a gold edge and domed rock crystal cover, surrounded by fine black enamel with the Gothic letters encircling the central frame 'IN MEMORY OF', carved to the borders with intricate gold scroll work in relief, engraved to the reverse in script 'Willm Henry Hartleys died 21st March 1870 Aged 15 years & 9 Months. Isabella Hartley died 13th Nov. 1879. Aged 27 years', secured by a hinged pin and C-scroll.
