Centred with a shell cameo the white relief depiecting the profile of the Gorgon Medusa, cursed for defiling the temple of Athena, seen with in this depiction with writhing snakes and wings, framed with an ornate border of rope twists and granuled terminals, fitted to the reverse with a removable safety chain, tailed bale and hinged pin with keeper.
